Why ?

ESMN video script:

Sexuality is part of being human. Sexual Health means: your physical,
emotional, mental and social well-being in relation to sexuality. It means
your body functions well during sexual activity. And your being sexual gives
you pleasurable feelings. It also means that you can experience sexuality
without coercion, violence, or stigmatisation and that you can freely
express your gender identity, and your sexual orientation.
Sexual health means that you can experience sex free of fear and anxiety
with positive self-esteem and to respect your sexual partner.

And it also means being protected against unplanned pregnancy and
sexually transmitted infections. Unfortunately, sex education and sexual
healthcare are not available to everyone. There are very few high-quality
sexual health care providers and the costs are too high for many people.
Sexual health care should address the whole persons existence. Taking all
relevant aspects of sexuality into account including physical, psychological
and societal factors. We are a group of health professionals of academics
across Europe who have come together to address these challenges. Our
ultimate goal is to improve sexual health for all. We are doing this by:

1) Creating a network of researchers and professionals of all relevant
discplines

2) Exchanging research results and promoting cross-country
interdisciplinary research

3) Preparing a basic university education program in sexual medicine :
10 topics and a MOOC ESMN UNESCO “Promote sexual health” for
introduce the different concepts
